End notes by Reika:

And that’s the end. I hope you enjoyed it. When Ace appeared at the end I was thinking it might be a threesome, hahaha! What a lovely, fluffy manga with lots of moping by Alice but ending with a renewal of love. I loved that picture. The egg dream and the twins do show that she is still trying to find her place at the center of things as an outsider but it ends on a hopeful note so I am very pleased. Please do let me know what you think in the comments below. I love to hear from other Heart no Kuni no Alice fans.

Julius Monrey has always been my favorite character in “Alice in the Country of Hearts,” which is why I really wanted to read this particular volume. While many other Alice mangas have been translated and are available in English, this one hasn’t been. Nor is it likely to ever be officially translated since the original creators (Quinrose) have declared bankruptcy in Japan. Therefore, a scanlation is the only way to read it unless you are fluent in Japanese, which I am not.

I commissioned this work since I had a bit of money I was planning to spend on anime/manga merch. How much was it? Pfft, I had to buy the manga first, then get it scanned, translated, and typeset. It cost a lot! This google spreadsheet can give you an idea of pricing.

While it might seem silly to spend that much, I have no regrets. I loved this entire manga. I was originally going to just keep it to myself but I changed my mind about publicly posting it after I saw how good it the manga translation was. Many thanks to Oresama Translations who did all of the work.

  3. Hi, pal, I would like you to know I greatly appreciate your efforts into putting this out in the wild as a fellow Julius fan! After Quinrose’s announcement, I feared it would mark the end of freshly baked translations, but I see that nice people like you still put in the energy and money for others to enjoy, so thank you very much for everything.

P.S: Also, thank you for making me discover ‘The hero suddenly proposed to me, but…’ it’s very funny and you can never get enough of that yandereness~

Yay!! 😀 I still prefer regular Julius, sad I didnt get to see too much of him at the end. Very entertaining. Loved it. Thank you! Julius<3

Im kind of confused about the commisioned thing? You paid someone else to translate it? I cant see anything under the google spreadsheet.

    1. Yes, I paid for this scanlation. You can see the market prices in the google spreadsheet. It’s not on the first page. You have to click on the link on top that says “commission.” It will show the name, service (scan, editing, translation, etc.), cost per page, and so forth.
